Pub Quiz Tomorrow (Tuesday):
Tomorrow (Tuesday 12 May) we are holding the annual Debating Society Pub Quiz at Fordes Bar on Anzac Ave (woop woop etc). There will be a $50 bar tab awarded to the winning team. That's even more exciting than a book voucher!
To enter the quiz you just need to arrive at 6pm and sort yourself into teams. Teams can include non-Society members, as long as someone from your team is a member of Debsoc.
This is going to be H.U.G.E so see you there!
Debating This Thursday:
This week we are meeting in the ENGINEERING BUILDING again, specifically Lecture Theatre 1439. The Pro Debate will run from 6pm to 7pm and then we will run general debates (incl Thropy practices) for all interested members. To debate just show up and sign the register before 6:40pm.
Thropy Update:
All thropy teams can expect a direct email from the Society later today confirming details of the tournament. If you haven't received this email from us by midnight please let us know.
Weekend Tournament:
On Saturday the Society held its annual pro-am debating tournament. The three rounds of debating in the day, and the BYO Japanese dinner that followed were judged by all to be a great success. Our congratulations to the two teams who have made the finals. The first of these consists of Nupru Upadhyay, Emily Adlam and Sam Bookman. The second is John Shen, Jeremy Minton and Ralph Hall. The final debate will be held at a time to be agreed between both teams and to be announced later.
